Lakia Armstrong, a 31-year-old African American woman, was tragically killed on April 29, 2019, in Chicago, IL. She was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a gangway in the 500 block of West Marquette Road. Despite being rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center, she succumbed to her injuries. The incident occurred in the Englewood neighborhood, a part of Chicago known for its high crime rates.
