Cindy Martinez, a 23-year-old Hispanic woman, tragically lost her life on May 24, 2021, in Chicago, IL. Cindy was in a car with a 25-year-old man just after midnight in the 2100 block of North Laramie Avenue when someone fired shots from a passing vehicle. Cindy was struck in the head and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead later that day at 3:06 p.m. The man she was with was shot in the arm, leg, and lower back but survived the attack.
