Quashay Johnson, a 26-year-old man, was found shot and killed in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago on the night of May 5, 2023. The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. when Chicago police responded to a report of a person shot in the 6000 block of South Carpenter Street. Upon arrival, officers found Johnson on the ground, unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
Johnson was immediately taken to the University of Chicago Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Quashay Johnson.
The investigation into Johnson's death is being conducted by Area One Detectives. As of the latest reports, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
