On May 11, 2023, a mass shooting occurred in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including 20-year-old Jabez Davis. The incident took place around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of West 61st Street and South Union Avenue. According to reports, two offenders exited a vehicle and began firing at a group of people who had gathered outside to enjoy the nice weather.
