Eddie S. Williams Jr., a 51-year-old resident of Urbana, Illinois, was the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred on June 30, 2023. The incident took place behind an apartment building in the 1300 block of Silver Street in Urbana.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:20 p.m. on the day of the shooting. A preliminary autopsy performed at the Champaign County Regional Autopsy Facility on July 1 confirmed that he died from a gunshot wound to the neck.
