Travon Martell Mackie, a 30-year-old resident of the Chicago area, was fatally shot on August 28, 2023, in an incident that occurred on the Bishop Ford freeway near Dolton Road. The incident was reported as a multi-vehicle crash, with police responding to the scene at approximately 7:27 p.m. Upon arrival, troopers found two crashed vehicles, and Mackie was discovered inside one of them, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
