On January 27, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the 200 block of 32nd Avenue in Bellwood, Illinois. The victim, identified as Daven McKenzie, a 33-year-old man from Bellwood (though one source incorrectly states him as from Glendale Heights), was found inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
