In the late autumn of 2012, concern began to mount for Jean Marc Lavallée, a 64-year-old man from La Prairie, Quebec. His family had not heard from him since November 26, 2012, prompting a relative to contact the Roussillon inter-municipal police for a wellness check at his home.
