Lazerrek Ellis, a 30-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 8, 2018, in Bellwood, Illinois. The incident occurred outside Avenue23 Bar, located at 2305 St. Charles Road, following a confrontation that began inside the nightclub and spilled into the parking lot.
