Marquette Bailey, a 44-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on July 22, 2021, in Bellwood, Illinois. The incident occurred around 11:05 p.m. in a parking lot located in the 2300 block of St. Charles Road. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Marquette Bailey sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead approximately 40 minutes later.
