On March 16, 2024, a fatal incident occurred on the inbound Bishop Ford Freeway near East 170th Street in South Holland, Illinois. Eric Satterwhite, a 50-year-old man from the area, was found shot to death after a rollover crash involving his vehicle, a blue Infiniti SUV. The incident happened just after 6 p.m., and when Illinois State Police troopers arrived, they found Satterwhite with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
