Leroy Felton III, a 35-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on October 8, 2021, in South Holland, Illinois. The incident occurred at a Shell gas station on 162nd Street, where Felton was shot while inside his maroon SUV. Witnesses reported seeing three men approach someone pumping gas and open fire, riddling the SUV with bullet holes. The medical examiner confirmed that Felton succumbed to his injuries shortly after the shooting.
