Shun Ammons, a 47-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on the evening of February 2, 2018, in South Holland, Illinois. The incident occurred around 8:10 p.m. in the 16900 block of Greenwood Avenue, where Ammons resided. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:30 p.m. after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. An autopsy confirmed that his death was a homicide.
