Sydney Cassel, a 29-year-old security guard, was fatally shot on April 4, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred outside a Kids Foot Locker store in the Chatham neighborhood, where Cassel had just finished his shift. As he was getting into his vehicle, a drive-by shooting targeted him, leaving Cassel mortally wounded. The assailant fled the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.
