Christian Bandemer, age 16, was fatally shot on June 3, 2016, in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. He was with friends when the incident occurred, and reports initially suggested the shooting may have been accidental. However, it later emerged that 17-year-old Anthony Mendoza was charged with first-degree murder after posting a Snapchat video where he admitted to killing Bandemer.
