Kevin Julian Velasquez, a 27-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically killed on September 2, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side of the city. Velasquez was driving south in the 2500 block of West 54th Street when an assailant exited another vehicle, approached him, and began firing at approximately 9:25 a.m. Velasquez was struck multiple times by the gunfire.
