Anthony Tolbert, 28, a male and Black/African American, was found shot in the early morning darkness of July 26, 2025, on the 11600 block of South Church Street in Chicago’s Morgan Park neighborhood. Police discovered the 28-year-old with gunshot wounds around 4:45 a.m., and he was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was first described as serious before he was later pronounced dead.
