On May 24, 2024, a shooting incident occurred near a banquet hall in Pembroke Township, Illinois, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, including Edward E. Colon. Colon, a 32-year-old man from Chicago, was pronounced dead at the scene around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, by the Kankakee County Coroner's Office.
