Anthony L. Dabney, a 36-year-old African American male from Pembroke Township, Illinois, was found dead on March 6, 2019. His body was discovered on the side of the road in the 3500 block of South Main Street in the early morning hours. The Kankakee County Coroner, Bob Gessner, pronounced him dead at the scene. Dabney had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and the weapon used in the homicide was believed to be a .22 caliber firearm.
