On October 18, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the parking lot of a McDonald's in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. The incident took place around 3:45 p.m. at the McDonald's located at 1004 W. Wilson Avenue, near Sheridan Road and Wilson Avenue.
