Devin Pope, a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on August 1, 2014, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 3:40 a.m., in the South Shore neighborhood. Devin was found in the entryway of an apartment building located in the 6700 block of South Clyde Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after, with the Cook County Medical Examiner's office confirming his death at 3:55 a.m.
