Chevelle Carter, a 32-year-old man from Calumet Park, Illinois, was shot and killed on the evening of October 19, 2024, in the Oakland neighborhood of Chicago. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. near the intersection of 38th Street and Ellis Avenue. Police responded to the scene and found Carter with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
