In the fall of 2019, the life of 18-year-old Samuel Calvert was tragically cut short in what appeared to be a robbery gone wrong in East Nashville. On the evening of September 28th, in the 1400 block of Rosedale Avenue, Calvert had a brief interaction with two individuals before shots were fired. He was fatally wounded, leaving a community to mourn and police to piece together the events of that fatal encounter.
