On October 26, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred in the Belmont Harbor area of Chicago, Illinois, resulting in the death of 22-year-old Adher Yaioluna of Cicero, Illinois. The incident happened just after 12:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of North Belmont Harbor Drive. According to Chicago police, Yaioluna and another 22-year-old man were standing in a parking area when shots were fired from a dark-colored SUV.
Adher Yaioluna was struck in the head by the gunfire and died at the scene.
The other victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital by Chicago fire crews, where he was treated for critical gunshot wounds to the left arm and chest.
As of the latest reports, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The investigation is being conducted by Area 3 detectives of the Chicago Police Department.
