Virgil Curtis Smith was a 71-year-old man from Savannah, Georgia, who was shot to death on April 3, 2023, at his home on Jamestowne Road. The story that has come out publicly is a deeply sad one. Early that morning, Smith was outside in his front yard near his truck when someone shot him. His wife had gone to pick up one of their grandchildren, and when she returned, she found him lying beside the vehicle.
