In the spring of 2023, a shooting in a southwest Atlanta neighborhood set in motion a chain of events that would ultimately lead to the death of a 68-year-old man and a subsequent murder charge. On the morning of April 25, Atlanta police were called to a residence in the 1100 block of Fountain Drive, not far from the Atlanta University Center Consortium, where they found Andre Harris suffering from severe injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
