Morray Alexander Ross, a 20-year-old resident of Fort Valley, Georgia, was fatally shot in the early hours of Sunday, April 30, 2023. The incident occurred around 4:40 a.m. when Ross was shot while walking from Perry Railroad Street to the Family Food Mart on Camelia Street in Fort Valley.
Following the shooting, Ross was immediately taken to Atrium Health Navicent, where he was pronounced dead at 5:35 a.m..
