On May 5, 2023, 28-year-old Kaneza Rikial Owens was shot and killed at the Green Meadows Townhomes on Log Cabin Drive in Macon, Georgia. The incident occurred just before 4:00 a.m. following a domestic dispute between Owens and her boyfriend, 23-year-old Treyvon Deshun Walker. According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, deputies and first responders arrived at the scene in less than 10 minutes after receiving the call.
