On a tragic evening in the Atlanta area, a young woman's life was cut short in what appears to be a random act of violence. Carmen Caiyi Lee, a 25-year-old Asian woman, was shot and killed while driving home on May 29, 2021. A financial portfolio analyst and the daughter of Malaysian immigrants, she was found unresponsive in her car by a Doraville police officer around 9:30 p.m. on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard near Tilly Mill Road.
