In the early morning hours of October 20, 2020, Eva M. Jones, a 59-year-old grandmother, was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting as she slept in her apartment on Cleveland Avenue in southwest Atlanta. The incident occurred just before 6:00 a.m. when multiple shots were fired into her ground-floor unit at the Pavilion Place Apartments.
