Shenika Lashaun Ke-Ke Freeman, a 26-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on January 18, 2015, in Atlanta, GA. Shenika, who had recently been promoted to sergeant in the U.S. Army, was found dead alongside her boyfriend, Cedric Ryce, in a parking area outside the Towne Air Freight warehouse in Clayton County. The couple was discovered after employees heard screaming followed by gunshots around 1:30 p.m. that day.
