On a summer evening in Decatur, Georgia, the life of 19-year-old Demario “Lil Yo” Hollis, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On June 26, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Hollis was in a car with a passenger near a Krispy Kreme on Wesley Chapel Road when another vehicle pulled alongside them. In an apparent drive-by shooting, gunfire erupted from the suspect's car, striking both Hollis and his passenger.
