In the autumn of 2014, the community of Yuma, Arizona, was unsettled by the discovery of a young woman's body. Stephanie Fedorka, a 29-year-old Caucasian female, was found deceased on October 15, 2014. Her body was recovered from the waters of the lower Colorado River. An autopsy would later reveal the grim truth of her demise: she had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
