In the summer of 2020, the community of Yuma, Arizona, was rocked by the tragic death of 26-year-old Melissa Polino Vasquez. A Hispanic female, Melissa's life was cut short on July 1, 2020, in what the Yuma Police Department would quickly determine to be a homicide. The cause of her untimely death was identified as gun violence.
