On July 17, 2022, Virginia Pena, a 39-year-old woman from Yuma, Arizona, lost her life in a tragic incident involving a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred early in the morning, around 2:50 a.m., when officers from the Yuma Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the area of 9th Street and Avenue A.
