On October 1, 1983, 39-year-old Jerry Lee Elrod and Kathy Morris were found stabbed to death in her apartment on Slater Drive in Fairbanks, Alaska. The Fairbanks Police Department continues to seek information regarding this unsolved double homicide.

Jerry Lee Elrod was born on December 23, 1943, and was laid to rest in Martinsburg Cemetery, Washington County, Indiana.
