A 37-year-old Hispanic male named Joseph Casas, 37, was discovered fatally shot in the head inside a Fairbanks, Alaska, apartment on the morning of April 11, 2025. Responding officers arrived shortly after reports of gunfire at a residence on the 1100 block of 27th Avenue and found him critically wounded. He was rushed to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
