A former elementary school teacher is found murdered in a Yuma, AZ business
On the evening of September 29, 1979, authorities responded to Solar Engineering Systems in Yuma, AZ, after 52 year old Dorothy Smock's body was found inside by her husband. Authorities determined that she had been tied up with tape which also covered her face, leading her to suffocate. Dorothy's purse had been emptied in the building and her wallet was found outside the building, but her diamond rings and a gold watch were not stolen.
