On October 8, 2023, Andrew Stankiewicz, a 71-year-old man from Texas, was fatally shot while traveling in a vehicle on Interstate 85 in Georgia.
The incident occurred after Stankiewicz was picked up from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport by his wife and a 29-year-old man named Jon Thomas Cloud. During the drive to Columbus, Cloud, who was sitting in the back seat, allegedly shot Stankiewicz in the back of the head.
