Raesha Heard, a 31-year-old mother of two, was fatally shot on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in the driveway of her parents' home in DeKalb County, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta. At the time of the incident, Heard was getting groceries out of the trunk of her car when a gunman approached and shot her multiple times. Her 8-year-old son was present and witnessed the shooting, which has been described as a deeply traumatic event for the family.
