In the early evening hours of October 31, 2023, Jalen Christopher Truitt, a 22-year-old African American male from Riverdale, Georgia, was fatally shot at the Georgia State MARTA station in Atlanta. The incident was reported as a targeted shooting. Known to his loved ones as 'Baby J,' Truitt was a father to a young daughter.
