William Gleason 'Bill' Hitchcock, Jr., a 63-year-old male, was found deceased in the driveway of his Elizabethton, Tennessee home on April 1, 2023. A group of fishermen on the Watauga River initially spotted him lying on the ground and, after receiving no response to their calls, alerted authorities. When Carter County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the Old Stoney Creek Road residence, they discovered that Hitchcock had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
