In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Albany, Georgia, a domestic dispute escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 32-year-old Nakeisha V. Warren. On November 19, 2023, police were dispatched to a residence on Julia Avenue around 11:23 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Warren inside the home, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators quickly identified her 30-year-old boyfriend, Rico Lashon Hall, as the primary suspect in the fatal shooting. Following the incident, Hall fled the scene in Warren's Nissan Altima. His attempt to escape was short-lived, as he crashed the vehicle on De Short Road in Sasser and continued his flight on foot.
A coordinated effort between law enforcement agencies led to Hall's apprehension in the early morning hours. At approximately 4:30 a.m., a Terrell County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted a man walking along U.S. Highway 82 West. Rico Lashon Hall was subsequently transported to the Dougherty County Jail and faced multiple charges, including murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, in connection with the death of Nakeisha V. Warren.
