Taneka Walker, a 21-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on December 24, 2020, in Albany, Georgia. The incident occurred on the night of December 23, 2020, when Taneka Walker was a passenger in a vehicle waiting in the drive-thru line at a restaurant on East Oglethorpe Boulevard. Gunfire erupted, resulting in Taneka Walker being shot multiple times. She succumbed to her injuries shortly after the incident.
