Death by Force

Deonte Ma'Lik Sledge, a 28-year-old resident of Augusta, Georgia, was fatally shot on November 25, 2023. The incident occurred at his residence on Blackstone Street West, where he was found in his vehicle. According to Coroner Mark Bowen, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 4:21 a.m. and Sledge was pronounced dead approximately 45 minutes later.
