In the winter of 2023, the life of 16-year-old Semaj Christopher Floyd, a male from Savannah, Georgia, was tragically cut short. On the evening of December 4th, Floyd and 20-year-old Omarion Whitfield were found deceased at the intersection of Amaranth Avenue and Perth Street, having both sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The discovery was made by Savannah Police Department officers who were responding to a Shotspotter alert in the area around 6:20 p.m.
