On December 4, 2023, a tragic shooting occurred in Savannah, Georgia, resulting in the deaths of two young men, including 16-year-old Semaj Floyd.

Semaj Floyd and 20-year-old Omarion Whitfield were found dead by the Savannah Police Department after officers responded to a Shotspotter report at the intersection of Amaranth Avenue and Perth Street around 6:20 p.m..
