On February 8, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Winder, Georgia, resulting in the deaths of 64-year-old Michael Alan Alvold and his wife, 66-year-old Susan Denise Arvold. The incident took place at their residence in the 800 block of Kendall Park Drive. Deputies from the Barrow County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene around 5:40 a.m. in response to a report of several people being shot.
