On February 23, 2024, 65-year-old Lewis Cherry of Riverdale, Georgia, passed away. His death was the result of a shooting incident at the Freedom Park Apartments on Delano Road in South Fulton. Upon arrival, officers found Cherry with a gunshot wound; he was transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The circumstances leading up to the shooting have not been disclosed, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
