In the quiet town of Statesboro, Georgia, a tragic event unfolded on the evening of February 29, 2024, forever altering the lives of two families. Christopher Joyce, a 20-year-old Black man, was found deceased alongside 23-year-old Jamaryce Mincey in a room at the Days Inn. The discovery was made by hotel management who were conducting a welfare check. Both men had sustained fatal gunshot wounds in what was quickly determined to be a double homicide.
