On February 29, 2024, a double homicide occurred at the Days Inn located at 616 Fair Road in Statesboro, Georgia. The victims were identified as Jamaryce Mincey, 23, of Green Street in Statesboro, and Christopher Joyce, 20, originally from McDonough, Georgia.
