In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in Albany, Georgia, the life of 29-year-old Markel Harper, an African American male, was tragically cut short. On March 6, 2024, at approximately 11 p.m., a burst of gunfire shattered the night in the 1000 block of Radium Springs Road. Harper was in a vehicle with 28-year-old Jaboris Terrell Cato when another car pulled alongside them and unleashed a volley of shots.
